Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 4 squares Frozen fish stick squares
  • 4 Tortillas
  • 2 cups coleslaw mix dry
  • 4 servings tartar sauce
  • fresh cilantro or parsley

Tartar Sauce

  • 3 tbls mayo
  • 1 tbls dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tbls worsteshire
  • 1/2 tbls lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbls fresh dill

Instructions

  • Cook fish per directions. TIP: start a timer halfway through baking to flip the fish so both sides get crispy
  • While the fish bakes, make the tartar sauce, just mix all ingredients in a small bowl
  • get out dry coleslaw mix or chop cabbage or lettuce up into small pieces
  • When the fish is done, warm up your tortillas one by one on the stove directly on the burner. I have it set very low and flip over after just a few seconds to warm them up. Or heat in micro for 10 seconds one at a time (but try the stove and compare for yourself, I think stove is better brings the tortillas to life)
  • Cut the fish into small chunks and fill each taco with fish, coleslaw, a drizzle of tartar and topped with cilantro! Enjoy!

What makes this dish pop is my homemade tartar sauce! Alex got me a Aerogarden a couple months ago and I’m obsessed, but I also have more dill than I know what to do with! So dill goes in just about everything these days. If you don’t have dill for the tarter sauce it’s fine, just skip it, but if you have it use it! It really kicks this sauce up a notch!

TARTAR SAUCE – recipe makes enough for about 4 tacos and you can adjust to taste. None of this has to be exact measurements it is a rough guide.
