Happy Cinco De Mayo! Here is my version of a spicy margarita, I can’t get enough of this lately! So good with just a little kick to it!
Spicy Margarita
Servings: 1 drink
Ingredients
- 1 shot orange liqueur
- 1 1/2 shot tequila
- 1/2 shot simple syrup – equal parts sugar to water boiled for a minute or two on the stove. I did 1/4 cup of each to be able to make a few drinks. Store extra in a little container in the fridge. (FYI this dressing container is perfect!)
- 3rd lime juice + rind
- Trader Joe’s Chili Lime Seasoning about 4 shakes into the mix and more if you want rim your glass –> skip this if you want a classic margarita and use salt instead!
- Ice, to figure out how much you need fill your glass with ice then dump that in the shaker
Instructions
- Rim your glass with TJ Chili Lime Seasoning – shake seasoning out onto a plate, wet rim of glass, turn glass upside down into the seasoning, swirl around until rim is covered
- Put all ingredients in a shaker, shake and pour! If you don’t have a shaker you can just stir all together or use anything with a lid (mason jar, smoothie bottle)
Here are some of my picks for shakers and margarita glasses! and I have these fun cactus ones!
